Daniel Serota is the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at Aon, where he leads the firm’s North America public policy, regulatory strategy, and political engagement. In this role, he oversees the development of strategic relationships with policymakers, industry partners, and civic leaders. He also directs Aon’s Political Action Committee and serves as an executive sponsor of the Aon Latino Professional Network. Daniel played a central role in establishing the Chicago Apprentice Network, which has become a nationally recognized model for expanding apprenticeship pathways.

This presentation is designed to provide professionals with a practical overview of how to navigate the healthcare system when a loved one experiences a medical crisis. Whether the person needing care is a grandparent, parent, or spouse, most families eventually receive “the call”—often unexpected and overwhelming.
Participants will learn how preparation and knowledge can ease stress, improve outcomes, and empower the designated family member—most often an adult child—to effectively advocate for and manage their loved one’s care.
